Which drivers did you install? filename etc... Most drivers found on the net are mostly update drivers to existing drivers

I played Ultima 7 Part I: The Black Gate on my old Pentium 100, and Moslo worked fine. I think Moslo should be able to slow down the game on Pentium 180 as well. Thanks, gonna give moslo a go :) Otherwise, you can play Ultima VII on newer machine with DOSBox. ;) Or you can use Exult. Nonetheless, …

I *think* Ultima 7 played kind of ok on my Pentium 100 back then (or maybe it was 90) since this was the first machine I played U7 on. Btw. only affects Ultima 7 Part I, Part II Serpent Isle did have speed control. My Pentium MMX 200 was "good for almost everything" (like leileilol wrote). mmm... …

Depends on the SB model you have installed... Which output is your speaker system connected to, Line-Out or Speaker-Out? There are better mixer applications for the SB16 than the one that comes with Creative's drivers. I recommend Master Mixer 5.11 , it can still be found on old FTP servers under …

After finally getting my Soundblaster 16's cards working !00% in DOs with drivers etc I've noticed that the sound output is quite low..I have to crack my speaker system up to the max to get a reasonable sound level... I've fiddled with the mixerset parameters but it doesn't seem to like anything …

Yes, it can be done, it's actually quite easy (if you know how :wink:). As you already found out, the "sbbasic" driver package for DOS will not install on DOS versions that come with Windows 9x.
