yeah the heatsink is permanently glued on the riva128 chip with special thermal glue from ebay, it is the same as voodoo2/3 cards have I will try the test later at home, I have ultimate doom installed :D this 2230 IIRC has a soldered CSP (that to my knowledge is of no importance to games) whereas …

I guess I have seen Socket 7's with both, but never just SIMMs. I just noticed there is a CoAST slot, to add L2 cache. I'm sticking to it being a Socket 5 :) So there is another opportunity for an upgrade. Why not look up the facts "chaps"? ;) ftp://ftp.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/sock7/430hx/xp55t2p4/ …
