I tried launching with the cycles at max, 15k, 10k, 5k, and 2k. Same error on all three.

Hello everyone. In setting up Darklight Conflict I find that the game crashes at the intro. The RAGE logo appears and at that point if I hit escape I can bypass the intro and the game seems to launch fine. I have tried the re-install a few times already. I also just patched simisle.exe with the dos32a extender to the same result. Zero luck with locating a patch file to a newer version.

I was trying it both ways. First I mounted a bin/cue, and then I tried copying the files to a directory and mounting it as a cd. Both the cd and the directory are 260megs, with 2,188 files in 81 folders.

follow-up - eventually after trying like 8 copies of the game, I found one that plays fine. No explanation why this one works and the others don't.... the files look identical.

I had heard in the past that svn builds with dosbox routinely break working games - is that true? edit: suppose it doesn't matter. I'll just set this game to only use this version of dosbox and keep the rest on the stable build. Thank you very much for the link. works like a charm now!
