Win98SE reads as Windows ME!!! WHY???

I just checked my system properties, and under the general tab it reads: Microsoft Windows Me 4.10.2222 A I installed Windows 98SE from a genuine, original disc. Why do I get this information instead? Thanks!

My Abit BH-6 has an option to lower the CPU Operating Speed 800(100) down to 233(66), or if I want to stay at 100 bus speed to 300(100). Should I do it for my DOS games?

You can use the latest build. It is somehow paradox to do that on a dos compatible PC. :) I prefer to see it as another slowdown tool, like moslo... That makes it look less controversy. Yes scummvm is also an option. See for yourself what works better. There are very few games that refuse to run …

No luck, I can not hear any sound effects or speech. The funny thing is that I can clearly see that when a character talks, the CD-ROM access lights up.
