Problem installing to HDD image file.

Not 100% sure this is the correct forum, but it seems to be the closest to me. First, the problem: When I try to install DOS 6.22 onto a hard drive image file everything works fine up until the point at which I try to actually start the installation (I can FDISK & FORMAT just fine) then I get an …

Re: ultima 2 and 3

By the sound being "destroyed" I mean the PC Speaker sounds. The games are designed, it seems, to use chip speed to control the speaker sounds (instead of the clock or some other stable source.) So on faster running machines the sounds are spead up until they are little more than brief buzzes. So, …

With 0.63 U2 & U3 now work just fine with the graphics updates in all ways except one. Tried stripping the config down (cga, 1meg, no sound cards, etc..) without any luck. DOSBox reports "Error: Cache Block …

Re: Ultima 3

It then randomly determines a spot, and it seems to be weighted strongly towards land here. If the spot is invalid (for any …

Re: PAGAN Ultima VIII

in DOS
Not sure about XP (or ME.) I'm running Win2k and the same thing kept happening to me until I selected the CPU speed limiters (forgot their name, and I don't have the addon installed right now.) I had the slider all the way to the right though. Turn those off and it crashed, turn them on and it ran …
