Yeah looks like im outta luck for overclocking as coppermines aren't any good, Ill stick to a 1000 and try for 140mhz that might be it.

What speed does the PCI fsb run at when overclocked to 160mhz? I assumed that perhaps VLB would be faster than PCI when running a 40mhz fsb.

I tested the FX52/5500s in the Intel PR440FX and they work just fine, not sure why they didn't work in the Micronics W6-LI as it shares the same chipsets as the PR440FX.

I presume it has to do with the ET4000 chipset? When you run speedtest it never gives the memory speed when you pcpbench in SVGA mode it wont work(unless you run UNIVBE?). Do you have any other more modern isa cards to test out? Although technically the game shouldn't let you run if their was a …

You do some benchmarks of the 386 with VLB, I don't think their should be any difference between VLB/ISA with a 386 cpu.

Im not aware of anyone running the Intel DX4-100 successfully at 120mhz the benchmarks are going to be interesting, make sure you get speedsys/Quake/pcpbench etc, it should perform similar to the AM5x86-133.

Does the SS7 take advantage of the extra bandwidth with AGP card compared to PCI? I'd imagine their wouldn't be much in it, I always wondered how a socket 8 system would compare mildly overclocked to 350/375mhz(fsb 70-75) with a PR440FX/Abit-PS6 with a decent PCI card compared to AMD K6-500/600.

I have a 2meg S3 928 ISA card but I haven't tested it yet but I don't expect any difference between the other ISA cards. On my 386-DX40 I saw no difference between the ET4000/5434 in dos, IMO their probably is next to no difference in dos between all the later ISA cards but I think Matrox cards …
