I just tried running Hammer of the Gods to see if I could get it to work. The intro plays fine but as soon as it attempts to load the game it hangs... No crash or error. I dont think that is correct... The keyboard becomes completely unresponsive, tapping the keys makes no difference. I played crusader back in the the good old days of DOS also and never had this issue.

To get Ishar 3 working in DOSBox 0.61 you need to make sure the memory setting in the configuration file isnt set too high. If you set "memsize=16" Ishar 3 should work fine.

Good question. I could be a compatibility thing. You're using Intel P4, I have and Athlon XP. Maybe it has something to do with that.

Dynamic core is still buggy and unstable. If your game doesnt load or crashes often use the "core=normal" switch.

Sounds in Master of Magic is working fine over here. I select General Midi for music and Soundblaster Pro (later) for sound. My sound card environment is "base=220 irq=7 dma=1". Good luck.

Yeah, the keyboard layout was on US... I tried changing it to US - International to see if that would make any difference but no luck unfortunately. 😕
