Re: Napalm Glide3x WIN64 DLL

Yes, it's possible, I just can't see the point. As far as I know, Napalm capabilities were only leveraged by the Glide renderer addon written for Project64, nothing else. (And even, support for "external glide wrapper" was ditched for P64 last time I checked.)

Re: Motocross Madness 2 terrain textures

Thanks, indeed. I cannot test it natively because the game just silently crashes at startup. However, I think I know what's going on here: terrain is composed of 2 textures, a low-res base one combined with a spotty detail texture. Amongst the advanced graphics options there are single-pass and dual …

Re: Motocross Madness 2 terrain textures

I gave it a quick try with 2.62.1 to check it out and make sure and it worked properly (as it should, because I tested all my games with 2.6). Use the built-in game bar in Windows, pop it up with Windows+G shortcut and you can make captures: https://i.postimg.cc/bsXjgZSs/Microsoft-Motocross-Madness …

Re: Wierd GUID in DirectDrawCreateEx fails dgVoodoo

This display GUID thing affect only DDraw. D3D8/9 identifies displays by simple indices. Did you tested the games with the attached dll package to make sure? wonder if a GUID selector or something in the control panel could work-around for future issues.?And i'm running an multi-adapter system , so …

Re: dgVoodoo 2.6.x and related WIP versions

WTF, how a 1050 Ti can throw 100 FPS more than a RX570 ? Can you do something dgVoodoo2-side or it's all about the AMD drivers? Unfortunately, no. dgVoodoo just sends a general low-level shader code to the driver, and it's up to the driver from that point. But I'm not sure if it's because the …

Re: Ragnarok Online

Thanks for the feedback! However, that kind of glitches are unfortunately very common if the resolution or the MSAA is forced. You may want to try a forced resolution with an integer scale factor (2x, 3x, …, max isf) but there is no guarantee it won't appear with that. 😖

Re: Bloodrayne 2 (with FSAA Patch)

The mod d3d8 may always load the d3d8.dll from the system folder. Try renaming dgVoodoo d3d8.dll to, say, dgd8.dll and change 'd3d8' substrings to 'dgd8' in the mod d3d8.dll So, the chain would look like this: Rayne2.exe --> d3d8.dll (mod) --> dgd8.dll (dgVoodoo).

Re: Rugrats Adventure Game

Thanks, the 32 bit version of the installer helped. However, I still can't run the game. It just changes display mode and crashes before going further. I cannot figure out if it's because of the QuickTime version I installed earlier (the game setup didn't launched the distributed QT installer). …

Re: Wierd GUID in DirectDrawCreateEx fails dgVoodoo

Sorry for the late answer. D3D9.dll and D3DImm.dll is also loaded into the application address space. So, it's an app using ddraw + d3d9 together? Shouldn't be a problem, but what if you remove dg d3d9 and let it load the system one? Not sure i understand you correctly. Which compiler do you use for …

Re: Wierd GUID in DirectDrawCreateEx fails dgVoodoo

BTW, this tool (DX7 SDK test application) crashes with dgVoodoo after "connection" (DDraw creation). Yes, I know. That app fumbles directly for data in DDraw objects, at binary level. So it's not complatible with dgVoodoo. I didn't want to have binary layout compatibility with MS ddraw just because …

Re: dgVoodoo 2.6.x and related WIP versions

But for AMD there's a bigger problem: Nvidia correct texture color AMD *wrong* texture color Specular/Normal/Bump -mapping issue? I think it's the usual AMD texturing issue. Let's wait a little while longer with it, a solution might be found for that. WIP63+ (including latest version) seems to have …

Re: Rugrats Adventure Game

How did you install this game? It has a 16 bit installer (or launcher) but no matter if I install it in a VM, QuickTime 3 is still needed. I have a newer version of that installed on my machine, and the game just doesn't start but I don't know if QuickTime is the reason.
