yeah I'd also leave that mt-32 connected to the 486/33 (maybe go as far as 486/66?) since you plan to have another build for the SC-55 - use that with the ss7 system

I am calling this composition "Attack of the DreamBlasters" 🤣 🤣 🤣 Basically 50% of my test setup (buran replaced x3m) , the other 50% is roland stuff - just what I use to make sure cards work before shipping 😎

I never found any difference other than having jumper settings available or not - some cards do have weird jumper blocks that are really hard to decypher without documentation.

9v VS 10v is nothing to worry - the mt32 has an internal 7805 so both will get converted to 5v in the end... 10v will produce a little more heat as a byproduct but it's nothing to thing about. Quality psus are indeed a problem because there are clones of them as wel... Just buy from a reputable shop …

A genesis psu will be fine as long as it's in the specs Baoran mentions. It is my opinion you will be better getting a new quality psu at 9v , 1A with center negative , genesis psus aren't exactly new nowdays or very well build to begin with as they were meant to power a gaming device not a …

just an update on jheronimus 's card - it was indeed a hardware failure (that I will determine once I receive his card) and the replacement works fine as expected 😀

What username u tried to register with? I am an admin on amibay so I can check it for you, amibay being a trade site has several checks in place and if anything fishy is found the account gets rejected, usually IP/location issues.

I have tested a CT1350B on my 233mmx pc, it had speed issues (maybe opl2 related). The lowest I would go for this systems would be the CT1600. I assume the 1320 would be worse....

I use one in my 233mmx build and I have not found any problems with the CT1600 being speed-sensitive. The same games that need slowdown with the SB16 for example need it with the ct1600 as well. Never tried the bundled software though - except the initialization/mixer programs.

99% chance this is a SoundBlaster 2.0 compatible card so it will carry all it's limitations. Still a great card IMHO for something like an XT to 286/386sx . Don't sweat it - it will work just fine for these systems!
