Not sure if thats what you meant, but I tried this SVN DOSBox-X v0.84.0 (2022/05/31) and it does solve the mouse problem, thank you! I would prefer to stay with the official version, hopefully the fix will find itw way into 0.74-4 when its out.

I have the same problem with X-COM 1.4 (CD version). The MT-32 won't make a sound there. The best solution I have found is to use the SCC-1 instead, the music sounds very good on it.
