SLI should work in Windows 2000. I believe back in the olden days I used to run a Geforce2 GTS paired with an Obsidian2 SLI card.

I never liked that clown on the Matrox Mystique box. Yeah. Fuck that clown. That's probably one of the main reasons I went with a Rage II rather than a Mystique. The Mystique was a good card, but the clown ruined it for me.

Running a disk controller above 33MHz on VLB is always going to be a problem. Best to avoid that situation.

I believe that leaves control of writeback/writethough to the jumpers on your motherboard (if present), though I doubt there are too many 5V only boards that allow write back.

Gary Kildall was pretty awesome. I don't know why useless turds like Gates and Jobs get all the attention and people who actually did the hard work get very little recognition. I personally don't believe the story that Kildall blew off the IBM suits.

That's too bad. Fast DOS graphics is good, but I'd like something good for Win3.x as well. I was going to try this card in a 486, but I'll probably save it for a Pentium class system instead. Are the drivers for the Banshee or V3 any better?

I am trying to obtain one of these cards. I heard that the TNT/TNT2 Windows 3.1 beta drivers are quite buggy. By chance is it possible to use the Riva 128 drivers with this card instead?

As you are running a K6+ chip with integrated L2 cache, from what I understand the motherboard L2 cache becomes L3 cache and the chipset caching limitations only apply to the L3 cache.

I have a 486 motherboard that has better performance with WT cache policy too. Writeback L2 isn't that important it seems, so I wouldn't worry about it much.
