That's interesting about the Goldstar Prime 2 card. I wonder if they're all more or less constrained to 10MHz. If the UMC can handle 20MHz that's good to know. Which UMC chip is on there? I wonder how the Winbonds fare.

Those old gateway 486s were really nice. I still remember the ads. At one point I managed to get my hands on a pristine full sized AT desktop version of this case. I think it was a 4d33 model. That thing was a beast. I really regret having to part with it.

The only "issue" I can think of with the P200 was that it ran hot enough that it couldn't use the ceramic package all other classic Pentiums had.

I believe it exists in Japan. I think I saw a picture of one in a PC98 system. That's the only time I've ever seen one. It's not like they're anything special. They just don't accept 5V CPUs.

Sure, there are plenty of BIOSes that will work in the AT. Quadtel, AMIBIOS, Phoenix, MR, and I think even the DTK BIOS would work if you dared to use it. I think I've used pretty much all of them, but MR BIOS is by far the best option. It's nice to stay original, but the IBM BIOS seriously sucks.

You should upgrade your AT to MR-BIOS. It's a lot better than either the IBM BIOS or the AMI replacement BIOS...though either will take care of your memory count problem.

We are talking about a 386SX here. Well, that is not 100% certain. If you look at the first page of the thread a second 386 board is shown which is a DX. The author stated his board had 64kb cache, while the SX board shown clearly has none.
