Disabling the onbaord amplifier on cards where there are only three jacks helps alot when doing analog. They're labled something like OPSL and OPSR, and they're right next to each other on the card.

Well, I dug around teh googleweb, and I've learned it's an ADB plug, so unfortunantly I think you are. Unless you built some kind of ADB to analog DB 15 adapter.

Wait a minute, does it have nine pins or just four? 9 pins means Mac serial, (rs-422), but four pins means Apple Desktop Bus, which your a bit out of luck on if it is that.

Ah. So you want a Mac Serial (RS-422) connector to the MIDI/joystick conector? I'm not really seeing that happening. I'm fairly sure there are Mam serial to PC serial connectors, but even then, you'd still need drivers, which I doubt exist. If it is a newer PC, there might be a MAC Serial to USB …

Probably a bad resistor on the board, or dirty contacts. Try some de-oxite. Let that soak, then blast it away with canned air. I assume by you saying the DVI port works, you used a DVI to VGA adapter, and that the monitor displays a correct image?

Yeah, older VGA cards had the edge connector. My Compaq EISA 1MB card has an edge connector on it. I think the pin type started with the VLB typed cards,, but i beleive the pinout is the same. Some old DVD decoders use the feature connector, too. I've got one, but I think it is broken.
