in DOSBox General
I suggest you to post some extra data... - Your systems specs. - Operating system. - DOSBox version. - Configuration of DOSBox. But, I think you have more problems than DOSBox. DOSBox does not change your system configuration... or at least it is unrelated to you DOS prompt problem (I assume you are …

Re: The hatred of DosBox

in DOSBox General
I don't think it would be a bad idea... Many emulators have menu bars... MESS is a good example. You can mount/extract/create disks with menus. But I'd prefer more compatibility and/or speed... or SVGA support... a menu bar it's not necessary, but it would help newbies.

Maybe el_PuSHer are trying to explain that there are some rules to post. Of course, you may use no flow control... and send all …

Re: DosBox and Roland again...

in DOSBox General
No, you're wrong. Sony did not buy Bleem!. They bought Connectix VGS (another commercial Playstation emulator). Later, Microsoft bought Connectix (they wanted Virtual PC). Bleem! went bankrupt trying to make a Dreamcast version of their emulator. Also they payed their attitude about software support …

Re: VESA on XP. A possible solution?

in DOS
I'm afraid not. I guessed it was some discussion about the patch for some Windows XP sys file... and I don't want to patch my system 😊 Ahhh... it seems it was not BIOS related... only crappy Microsoft Windows stuff... and it seems it is not fixed in SP2...
