Re: Can DirectX games be scaled?

in Windows
You can input any resolution (including refresh rate). Just type it in like the other resolutions. Mouse over the drop-down box's down arrow to read the tooltip. I guess that you mean the output resolution selector. I'd like that my game could "see" a 400x300 mode (and then scale to other …

Re: Can DirectX games be scaled?

in Windows
You can use dgVoodoo 2 and force any resolution that you want. The game will be scaled to that resolution (for example, your desktop resolution). I'm not sure how well it works for 2D games like Jazz Jackrabbit, however, as I've used it only for 3D games. dgVoodoo 2 worked almost perfectly. Using …

Can DirectX games be scaled?

in Windows
I'm playing Jazz Jackrabbit 2, and I'd like to play it scaled. JJ2 can (was intended) to be played at different resolutions, from 320x240 to 640x480 (and some "strange" resolutions like 400x300). In this game, that doesn't mean that the sprites and tiles are scaled but that you can see more or less …

Re: Jazz Jackrabbit 2 - The Secret Files editions?

in Milliways
I've found a CD of "The Christmas Chronicles" (Xmas'99). This one only contains a episode called "The Christmas Chronicles" (NOT Holiday Hare '98), playable with all three characters. Jazz Jackrabbit 2 - The Secret Files editions?

in Milliways
I'm getting confused about the various editions of this game. There seems to be (at least) two editions of this game. There was a original one and later another edition called "LK Avalon" one. The LK Avalon adds polish language, and is less desirable because it contains some bugs and is not …

Re: Windows 2000 Emulator with 3D Support?

in PC Emulation
Doom 3 is an OpenGL game. BTW, I forgot to mention that Virtualbox (and VMWare) only accelerate DirectX 8, DirectX 9 and OpenGL games (using XP and later OS as guest). If your game is DirectX 7 or earlier, you won't get acceleration. To use 3D accelearation on VirtualBox: - Be sure to enable 3D …

Re: Windows 2000 Emulator with 3D Support?

in PC Emulation
PCem, with Voodoo emulation (but Voodoo Direct3D support was not great) should do the trick, but it will need a very fast computer. Why Windows 2000? Usually Windows 98SE or XP are better for gaming. Although Windows 2000 is slightly worse than XP, XP is easier to emulate on VMs and 98 need less …
