Specifically, the graphics are corrupted - there is horrible colour fringing, a "smearing" effect, instead of a crisp B&W display.

The attached PD game (Spacewar) was fine under DOSBox 0.61, but seems to have been broken under DOSBox 0.62, and the same problem still exists under 0.63. It uses a 640x200 monochrome CGA screenmode.

That's odd, how can DOSBox run MS-DOS programs on PPC-based machines such as the Pegasos without doing CPU emulation?

Found an unpatched version of Frogger. Still has the background graphics problem though. So the patching is not the problem.

OK, it can be played using the keymapper. I'd still suggest sending a bug report to the SDL team though, since I'm sure there are many other SDL apps affected by the bug. Thanks for the tip.

Found the problem; the game has to be named, eg. DISKIMG1.IMG for some bizarre reason. Then you can go: BOOT DISKIMG1.IMG and it will work fine.

I see DOSBox 0.63 has been released. Neither the Bricks bug nor the Frogger bug have been fixed. Not quite sure why these new versions with known bugs are being released, what is the point? Is it a waste of users' time to report these bugs, since there is no interest in fixing them?

But it worked 100% OK on a genuine IBM-PC...which is presumably what DOSBox is trying to emulate, rather than a 99% "IBM-compatible".

I set it to CGA in dosbox.conf and now the graphics work fine. Thanks. Once the Caps Lock handling is fixed it then will be fully playable.

Games such as Bricks, Round 42, Moonbugs, etc. which use the CGA 16-colour mode don't look correct anymore under 0.62, they looked fine under 0.61. Also the handling of the Caps Lock key is incorrect, as can be seen by trying to play Bricks.
