A little secret? The 40x Plextor scsi drives work WONDERS. they are near silent and FAST. 40x lite-on drives are also very good. they are ide.

I'd use winimage. first convert the hdd image to dynamic, thus shrinking it to the smallest size. then convert it to whatever size you want from there. Or just leave it at dynamic, that works too. link: http://www.winimage.com/winimage.htm

get a mac and start doing mac games from the same era. Sure the big titles are going to be the same but there were a lot of apple exclusive titles that could have some light shed on them. #beatingadeadhorse

I can't find the link at the moment, but I distinctly remember seeing benchmarks that show voodoo 2's can bog down cpu's up to about 600mhz.

tseng 4000 1mb video card I would go scsi. so scsi card + hdd + cd drive + zip drive some soundblaster card. (others here have better opinions in this area than i do)
