soap and water will fix most of those cases. I LOVE the slot-load 5.25" floppy drive in the middle picture. That's worth saving!

actually that tyan board has USB. its near the bottom left of the picture, its a 2x4 pin header. I know, because I own the same board. It also has 1mb L2 cache with proper tag ram for full 768mb cache-ability. I have a K6-2/550 in mine. I wish I could overclock it, but thems the breaks..

You should play the mac version. Its a DIRECT ripoff of scorched earth. I mean they would win a copy-rite suit its so close. Either way the graphics are about 10x better. and the AI is slightly tweaked so that it doesnt bug out, but still has the other flaws you mentioned.

1999 era cards? well the TNT2 from diamond, the 770 if i remember correctly was a kickass card, The voodoo 3 was riding high. I think the geforce 256 was in early 2000... definatly worth looking into.

no, you are right, if google is to be believed it was September 2002. I had an audigy 2 zs in my system at the time. I still own it. Sadly it died in a lightning storm a long time ago but I kept it. LOVED that card.
