it was me actually, I found that Simcity classic uses a math-co extensively. You gain about 50% performance by having one!

they are "equal" for all intents and purposes. That being said, the card you pictured are Voodoo2 cards. you should only buy the 12mb version. Which has memory chips on both sides of the card. Also, you can use 2 of these cards in tandem. If you do this, make sure you get a pair of identical cards. …

The Matrox Millennium cards are quite nice for 2D though, so they go well with a Voodoo 1 or 2. +1 The only reason for matrox was for their first class 2d quality. A matrox card with a voodoo setup is extremely common. its a shame, if they were as good at 3d as their 2d... ati and nvidia wouldnt …

I think in "MOST" media gx setups the chip is actually permanently installed to the motherboard. At least all the pictures I've seen are like that.

now that you guys mention it, the contaq board that I have has NO problem with the 6.4gb hard drive I have in it right now. Maybe it was because of my siig i/o board but this contaq is a real nice 386 board.

luckybob, is your 386 a contaq chipset-based mobo? I bought mine from "weird stuff", on ebay. I think the manual mentions something about 80ns SIMMs, so it's possible that your ultra fast 60ns SIMMs may not be used to the fullest. Also, you've got the same ISA Siig EIDE controller as me. I have both NT and 2000 so i'm covered. 2000 was probably my favorite OS. I used NT a lot in school so I know its quirks well.
