Hi all, I'm thinking about selling a fully modified Snes console but i'm not too sure on the price? I know good condition Snes console's fetch a fair amount on ebay through bidding. It's a UK PAL snes (Street Fighter 2 bundle version) with a full switchless mod installed! The switchless mod allows …

Re: Windows 7 - which version ?

Sounds as though ATI or Microsoft should do something about it! (i'm guessing it's Microsoft's problem as it's not only ATI drivers that are affected) Anyway it's still the early days for Windows 7 so i expect quite a few updates very soon 😁

Re: Windows 7 - which version ?

In WinXP it was under the troubleshoot tab. Under 7, the button for video troubleshooting is grayed-out. And no, I am using PCI-E. But this was a bus-related setting, present with every card (PCI, AGP, PCI-E). Short explanation on Wikipedia Regards. I cannot find any button for video …

Re: Windows 7 - which version ?

+ Both built-in and latest Catalyst drivers for my Ati card force me to use WRITE COMBINING (it's always on). I do not like it specially for games. It seems there is no way of disabling it. Re: Windows 7 - which version ?

Also for XP mode you will need a minimum of 2gb RAM (more than the minimum requirements for Win 7 itself!) and you will also need a CPU that supports Virtualization (i think most or maybe all current processors have this feature.). I think most people will be running Windows 7 on a recent PC so they …

Re: Windows 7 - which version ?

I have received and installed Windows 7 Home Premium on 2 of my PC's and one of my laptop's.... so far it's been excellent! I bought all 3 for £69.99 each from Novatech (special pre-order price). I'm using the 64-bit version and i find it more responsive than Windows XP and it's obviously far better …

Re: seemingly strange harddisk behaviour...

i;m touchy about those 1tbs specially sea gate all though i know all brands can fail. I absolutely hate Seagate drives! They used to be ok years ago but now i find them unreliable, slow and noisy compared to the competition :disapproving: I've had nothing but problems with those cheap nasty drives …
