Wanted to test Matrox G100 too, bud mine cards wont boot into Windows 98 SE (but they do to Windows XP). Dunno why. So i skipped their testing....

Well, i dont know if it's the "Tbuffer effect" but it seems at least smooth on frame rate.. :D Yeah framerate is good - i think its because it render only small part or objects. Just tested recording on Avermedia card - worst 3D card was mine first choice. Trident rocks compared to Alliance aT3D. Sorry no sound, have to buy some soundblaster (onboard audio dead). https://youtu.be/GM8nZKojHds

Have OTI-64111. In diag graphics does 9.75MB/s. Thats bottom of PCI cards. Slightly better than SiS 6215/6205 card, but much worse than most other. For example Virge (325) do 19,63MB, Ark Logic PV2000 have 25,31MB - thats 2,5x more. I wouldnt go for Oak, its lowend similar to Realtek or Trident..... …

Also a good price tag. I guess only a few were sold because most professionals preferred higher resolutions instead of more colors. Well any profi graphic card from 80's is ultra rare. Seen only few (under 5) pictures of Matrox cards - thats not many if you consider that they do them since 1979. …

I found that it should matter too much what 875P/865PE board. Do check the capacitors though. AGP does limit your graphics options a little bit though, so I'm lately leaning more towards going with socket 775 for a Windows XP Pentium 4 machine. Asrock as always have solution for almost everything. …

All mine wildcats worked fine on mine VIA KT133A chipset and Windows XP. So don't think that problem is there (maybe only if you didnt installed VIA chipset driver). I would try cleaning cards contacts and also AGP port. Might be only bad connection of one pin.

Maybe reset bios? Also new jumperless boards sometimes didnt detected new cpu - try holding J key when starting computer - this should tell bios to redetect CPU and memory. Think there was also other key, but cant remember which one (F or G).
