Re: Dosbox + Symbian s60 3rd edition

There isn't any Symbian port of DOSBox as far as I know. With the 300mhz CPU in the N95 you will only be able to play old DOS games from the 80s, tho. If you tried some DOS game from 91-98, the phone would choke and die :dead: I do look forward to the day when the phones are powerful enough to play …

Re: Installing Quest for glory 4

To mount the CD write mount d e:\ -t cdrom. You can get the latest csdpmi*b.zip here (it's near the bottom in the csdpmi5b.zip file). Just unpack the cwsdpmi.exe file in there and place it into the same directory as the game in question.

Re: idea

I checked trough the technical specs at mobygames and a few need at least a 32mhz 1200 and their is quake for amiga that looks like the pc version. Their is dosbox for the os/2 and i doubt those go faster than a pentium without being upgraded. Many of those are about 32 mhz and their is dosbox for …

Re: idea

A p133 can run 80's dos games with dosbox and a 500 mhz can definately run duke 3d at nice speed. No. Maybe with the dynamic core duke3D is somewhat playable in low settings, but the Amiga version of DOSBox would be unable to use the dynamic core. Oh, and a frameskip of 10 is by no means "nice …

Re: idea

DOSBox 0.70 has been ported to AmigaOS 4 already, by a forum member named Thematic. abyss wrote: An amiga 1200 might work. Not a chance. I like my Amiga 1200 a lot, but it doesn't have any processing power to speak of today.

Re: How to get more than 64 mb ram?

Hmm weird. How come a game like Battlespire, which says it needs 64Mb to run well, only detects 32Mb in Dosbox when I put memory up to 64? I mean, if it needs 64Mb, then it would have an extender that can use that much memory surely? Aye, I've had the exact same problem with Battlespire. If I try …

I would recommend you use www.scummvm.org for Fate of Atlantis instead. And there's this thread too, made by the same person. indiana jones fate of atlantis

Re: Abandonware and Dosbox

If Dosbox is bundled in there for free and you have to buy the games then technically you are buying Dosbox. You are buying both the games and Dosbox. I f Sierra did not contact the makers of Dosbox then they are in violation of copywrite in my opinion. Does Sierra give anycredit on their game …

Re: Abandonware and Dosbox

DOSBox isn't sold with the new Sierra collections. It's bundled in there for free. You just pay for the games. I remember reading from another thread that noone from Sierra ever contacted the makers of DOSBox, which is rather poorly done of their part.

Re: Fade to Black - cutscenes

I just tried running Fade to Black from an iso image, and the cutscenes are very fluid and nice. Only problem is that there was no sound! When I launched the game the following message appears. WARNING : Single speed CDROM detected, sounds will be desactivated in cinematics Do you want to continue …

Re: DOSBox CDROM difficulties...

In my experience, it's better to run CD games in DOSBox with CD images rather than with the real CDs. Which is why I ripped all my DOS games into iso or bin/cue files (depending on the game using CD audio or not) and then use the imgmount command.
