Sound output is another thread? Didn't know that :) Emulated hardware in separate threads would be neat. I wonder how much of a performance gain one would see if the graphic card emulation was in one thread, sound card emulation in one thread and maybe graphic output aswell? No doubt it would …

The fastest Symbian phones today have a 200mhz CPU (as far as I know). Not really enough to emulate anything but games that are from 1985 or older.

I don't see any reason to emulate AWE-32 in DOSBox. The sound is the same as SB16, and for the midi there's General Midi support already, which is better.

You have to configure the sound in the game. A sound setup program is usually shipped together with the game.

Support for long filenames is pointless. All DOS games are using 8.3 filenames.

Out of curiosity, would you explain what your "fix" changes? As far as DOS goes, "CD\ARENA" and "CD \ARENA" are exactly the same. There's a typo in the instructions you're following. "CD\ARENA" should be "CD \ARENA" or "CD ARENA", doesn't matter which.

Thanks ykhwong 😀 I tried the new exe and could now watch the Redguard intro! Yay! 😁 Unfortunally, Dosbox crashed when it should have started to load the gameplay level.

gulikoza, I expected it to be very slow anyhow 😁 Thanks for the files 😀 I placed the GLIDE2X.OVL file in the Redguard folder, and Glide2x.dll in the DOSBox folder, but as soon I tried to start Redguard, Dosbox crashed. Tried another glidewrapper and the normal core, but the same thing 🙁
