I have a Packard Bell Chrom@ 9750 laptop from 2000 that comes with 128 MB of RAM. Standard configuration. It came with Windows ME. Same deal with a previous HP Omnibook XE-3 GC. Edit: Actually, this one came with 64 MB of RAM.

But... DOSBox Staging is really close to regular DOSBox. If ScummVM is out of the question, look at the DOSBox config file, you should certainly enable Tandy mode. For the slow mouse, maybe adjust mouse sensitivity and/or cycles ? Again, ScummVM would be preferable.

Last time I wrote anything in Ruby was 10 years ago. And yet the latest C# releases have brought the Range operator, which I used to use all the time when I was writing Ruby. Weird how programming languages are still bringing features that were "new" decades ago...

I have real hardware that is not period correct. I prefer it that way, it enables me to play a very wide range of DOS and Windows 9X games that won't run on emulators with a single machine. Search the Web and Apply the US 1.09 Patch And then do the same with the NOCD for the US 1.09 patch Copy all the video files to the game's installation directory. Enjoy. For installing the game, there is a fixed INSTALL.EXE floating around to.

I think the Atari ST soundchip was a failure. Even at the time. What an absolute shame. Every tune I've ever heard coming out of it has made me regret having ears. Well, except some demoscene stuff.

With every CD mounted in DOSBox you can tell the game to use a different letter for each CD -> No disc swapping. Same with Under A Killing Moon. If you use a real machine, well...
