Thanks. The GTX460 is there for nostalgia and also because this old case can't fit in the mega sized cards of today. Here's another shot of the old girl showing the drive bays behind the aluminum door. The Cooler Master HDD cage has another 12cm fan which brings the total number of fans in this case …

They're pretty similar and whatever a GF3 can do, a GF4 can too, only better. Though a GF3 Ti 500 is nearly the same performance wise as a Ti 4200, so there's not much point in changing it out. BTW, the 64bit 6200 sucks hard, not as compatible for Win98 gaming plus it's much slower in DX7/8 compared …

This is a REALLY good 370 board. PIII's are multiplier locked so you'll have to look at other options to slow things down.

This must be a real blast to play with. Congratulations on such a fine build and full of some very unique parts to boot! BTW I always thought that only 3dfx cards worked well on Slot A boards, good to see a Geforce in there.

I've owned a couple of RDRAM systems in the past, 820 and 850 based. Currently, I have a D850EMV2 outfitted with a 2.8B, 512mb of Samsung 40ns RDRAM and a Quadro 700XGL. It's running Win98SE and I'm pretty happy with this setup.

Man, that' a nice machine, I had a Dell 4100 in an identical case some years back, but with a 1ghz coppermine, 815 chipset, TNT2 and SB PCI128.

9800 should be fine. my own xp rig is running an 8800gt, realtek 889a and e8500. drivers are 175.13 whql. it blasts through the entire era you're interested in.

FIC SD11, asus k7m and theres quite a few more from msi, dfi, epox...etc. slot a was very short lived so all the boards were introduced from late 99 to mid 2000.
