After a fair bit of experimentation, the lowest I can find tolerable in todays modern world of internet, is a Pentium 4 1.8A, 1.5 gbyte RAM, win XP, TNT2 pro 32 meg, gotta by firefox tho, Chrome is intolerable at this level, it is however far more pleasant with a geforce 4MX. Also the VIA Esther …

What I do when desoldering tools are not available is heat one leg and wiggle/pull it from the top and then heat the other leg and wiggle/pull it from the top and work and back and forth until it is fully out.

That is a 3.3v part so I wouldn't run it at 5v.

I am not using flash because A. version 9+ needs MMX instructions when playing 9+ content and B it is very VERY slow. Yeah even a P3/P4 which shouldn't have a problem struggles

No. But I find crashing pretty annoying. I can also watch youtube videos and play Simcity 3000 on it 😀 Not ultra quick though
