Re: SourceForge.net project ("Munt")

I'm curious. Has there been any plans for an ALSA driver version of Munt, in the veign of Tristan's modified release of Canadacow's driver? I'd personally be more interested in that, than I might be with just a version of it in ScummVM, as having it more independant from programs makes it much more …

Re: Overlay. I'm using the normal2x scaler. Dosbox segfaults when it attempts to display anything to the screen (after executing the [autoexec] section) Yes, xawtv, xine, and mplayer all work just fine with my card's BES, and Xv overlay. and I compile mplayer and xawtv myself. Re: 0.62 bugs overview

As with 0.61, on Slackware Linux 10.0, running X11R6.7.0, with an MGA G550, I'm still seeing a segfault when I try and use overlay support, and DosBox keeps falling back to surface when I try and use opengl or openglnb. If you need a backtrace on that overlay problem, I'll run a search through the …

Re: Blood and DosBox error

does DOS4GW.EXE exist in the directory with blood? If not, you can always get Dos/32A (Look under the Breakthrough with STTNG: A Final Unity) thread, and copy the DOS32A.EXE executable to DOS4GW.EXE, or find a copy of DOS4GW.EXE with another program (DOOM/DOOM2 come to mind as places to find a copy …

Re: File creation error...

LPT1 in DOS is a device file, which redirects to the first parallel port of the computer. Currently this is unsupported. WinXP is reverting them back to 'New Folder' to avoid conflicts and confusion.

Re: difference?

None is simply that - No scaling. Normal2x is a nearest neighbor technique, as far as I can see. Advmame, as priestlyboy says, is a slight modification on the scaling algorithm that AdvanceMAME uses.

Re: 3D Acceleration Support

I personally can't stand the mentality of 'the game also works in windows so drop the idea of getting Dos Box to be compatible' That poisons the idea for us adventurous linux users, after all. :) WINE is an alright thing, but I still am hardpressed to find even an old game that works 100% perfectly …

Re: Multi-CD games on Linux?

I happen to really agree with you. I used to use automount/autofs, but it got to be such a hassle in the idea that the directories did not appear until accessed, therefore it was a pain to use with most GUI programs, and Dos Box wouldn't acknowlege it at all, which made supermount the much easier …
