If I remember correctly there is this one difference between 40 wires IDE cable and 80 wires cable. With 40 wires cable you have to connect master device to the end of the cable and slave device to the middle connector, with 80 wires cable you have to connect it to the middle connector of the cable …

When there are no pins for Power LED just use Keylock pins. They give +5V and Ground which you need. Conserning turbo pins, it looks it's now permanently set to either Turbo On or Off. Maybe a problem with IRQ? While using my Soyo 440BX based motherboard the OS sometime freezes when I run a game that tries to inicialize D3D or OpenGL mode (using TNT2). After reloading BIOS default settings and restart everything works fine.

Success! After some digging on the internet I've managed to secure DOS/Win3.1 drivers for the controller. Installed the DOS one (which is one *.SYS file) and after that the reading speeds increased dramaticaly. I think the only thing that limits the SD card is an old IDE standard with max 8 MB/s …

I have contacted a member of VCFED forum who claims to have proper drivers. And I will try the PowerIDE app, it's worth a try. I will share my results here. I hope I will be able to bring the board to it's full potential.

As there are no jumpers on the motherboard for this (according this link) I will probably have to use some driver, if I find any. Or I could try the DOS version of PowerIDE utility. Hopefully I'll make it work.
