Same thing as dragging it onto the shortcut. DosBox reads the source path and uses that. It's highly recommended not to use this though unless you know for sure that the games don't need any special tweaking or mount options.

The Black Cauldron is just a bunch of static screens with only your character or possibly 2 or 3 other characters moving around the screen. It's not that processor intensive. He's using an old processor. He only has 512mb ram. He has a crappy Geforce FX so if he's using the latest Nvidia drivers it's possibly causing problems. Suggesting to use NTVDM is an good alternative when you do not have a processor good enough to run your games decently in DosBox.
