May need to try other switches when mounting the cdrom. Type in "intro cdrom" into dosbox.

You need to reduce hardware acceleration for video or you can find the Xcom patch that fixes this problem. I don't have a link handy at the moment to the patch.

Also install the latest video drivers. Try older versions of DosBox. Try different output= in dosbox.conf

Windows 98 doesn't work in DosBox. Only Windows 95.

Just create the Ghost boot disk and boot it on the PC you want to image. As for your company insisting on using Ghost. Do a comparison between Acronis/Ghost, pricepoint features. Run some actual tests etc, etc. After your done you'll be able to by Acronis and be happy.

Vista isn't really affected by processor speed much. I'm running Vista 32bit on a Dell Latitude D510 which is a Pentium M 1.7ghz and it runs just as well as XP. (Well I did have to put 2gb of ram in this laptop before Vista ran smooth....512mb was painfull). For some odd reason it runs Vista better …

Well nothing really uses quad core right now. There may be a handful of games by Christmas but I doubt the performance difference will be that major over dual core. IIRC, DiskWrite is included in VDMSound and enables you to save audio. (Can be done in DosBox very easily) Looks like MT32_PCM is the ROM dumped from Vlad's MT32 so that he could add support to VDMSound. Probably not legal to disitrbute.....
