Good points.... - the curent icon is quite confusing and hard to read, for me. It isn't easy to read it as 'DOS BOX', if anything it's easier to read it as 'BOX DOS'. Sure, if you are used to it, or put some effort into it, you can read it correctly; but the point of an icon is to be very quickly …

You can boot original MS-DOS in it. AFAIK, that's the only OS that runs. DosBox is not really a complete emulator. It's designed for running games, not OS's.

Hmmm, try checking your PC bios. There should be an option to change video from Monochrome,CGA/VGA, etc. Make sure it's set to VGA. IIRC, Tekwar was based on the "BUILD", engine. I lost my copy long ago but it should run fine in Windows XP without DosBox (with terrible sound quality of course). It may also run fine in DosBox too since Duke3D is "playable" in DosBox @ 640x480.

If you mount the entire C:\ drive then you could delete any file on your hard drive. If you only mount a certain folder then only the files in that folder can be deleted in DosBox.

Quake is the heaviest of the DOS games. I highly doubt he's running it @ 640x480 probably at some resolution lower than that although it's probably playable @ 640 but not ideal. From what I've heard the side quests are not the standard side-quests in most RPG's, they usually have a twist. I really haven't had the time to try them out yet since I've mostly been exploring.

Yeah, I played Morrowind and beat it but I didn't really spend much time enjoying it since this was before all of the mods came out and my character became super-powerful way too fast. This time I started out as a Thief because I was hoping they'd have more restrictions on thieving than in Morrowind …

huh? There's a frontend for Qemu that does anything you'd ever want to do if your too lazy to use the CLI commands.

I spent mabye 10-15 minutes playing around with the face customization feature but it really wasn't my bag. Way too much work to waste on something you'll rarely see.
