"change the sound that emulates the pc speaker"??? Do you want to modify DosBox code to get the PC speaker to do something that it's not doing correctly? I don't understand the question. As for using your real PC Speaker. NO

You can solve this easily enough....add the following line to the autoexec portion of your dosbox.conf: SET BLASTER= A220 I7 D1 H5 T6 P330 AFAIK, no program actually requires that P330 be set unless it's dumb and checks the SET variable for that line. Duke Nukem 3D works fine without it.
