No reason to disable hyperthreading. The Windows CPU diagram is just not very intuitive when showing processor usage with more than one processor.

DosBox is designed to only use one processor. So yeah, your SOL for now and for quite some time...probably forever. DosBox doesn't really have a need for multiple processors.

Most likely the Vibra. Bleh.. Not sure what the difference between the SB Live! Emulation and the SB cheapo vibra would be. Live! will win out in terms of audio quality but the Vibra will probably be less frustrating.

You need to mount a C:\ drive. Print EXACTLY what your typing into dosbox to install this game.

Which version of DosBox are you using? Make sure that your using DosBox 0.65. In/ f that doesn't work then download ykhwong's CVS Build from my signature "DosBox CVS Builds"

IIRC, VPC doesn't support ACPI so there's no way you can have any IRQ that high in VPC....

It isn't a config file problem. It's most likely a crappy installer problem. We've had problems with Sierra installers before. I do not have this compilation so it's hard to troubleshoot the problem. That "error creating configuration file" is probably caused by you either running the setup program on CD-ROM or if you have a "Read-Only" attribute set on the file it's trying to write to. I'd say just copy the game files to your hard drive, check the file attributes and make sure you have write …

Run sierra.exe or install.exe. Don't run a .BAT file to install these games.

Wish List and FAQ threads hidden on the forums. The fact that you have to type in "save + state" into search probably doesn't help either....not that is matters since most people don't use search anyway. 😀

Just dial your modem like usual and then use DosBox virtual modem function. DosBox cannot access your modem directly, AFAIK.
