They are usefull...but only in cases that they fix. Look through the Application Compatibility Toolkit, it'll tell you exactly what those modes fix.

Puhlease, a game release back in 1984 would have no trouble running in DosBox @ 200mhz. Now try any game that used CWSDPMI/Custom Extender/DOS4GW and tell us how 200mhz isn't too slow using present DosBox coding techniques.

If we're going to discuss this it should probably be in Moe's "What's next" thread. I believe he suggested implementing the Qemu processor core which is probably the best bet...heck implement that and then we could boot any OS that Qemu supports.

It'll be interesting to see what Bethesda does with Fallout 3. Hopefully it won't be like Morrowind where you can easily turn into an Uber Baddass and makes the game too easy.

You should try the CVS, some CD fixes have been implemented. Not sure where your going to find a precompiled OSX binary tho.

Mount CD Also run daggerfall with FALL.EXE z.cfg otherwise Daggerfall won't use z.cfg If you wish to run Daggerfall without the CD then simply copy the CD to another directory and then point to that directory in z.cfg. Remember to run Daggerfall with "Fall.exe z.cfg"

Yeah, but ROMS are can be corrupt. Sure ROM management programs can check integrity and such but I don't trust 'em. Going to manually go through each and every one. Yipppeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!
