For me setting the AGP speed too high seems to mostly result in freezes but anything is possible. From what I can see the Ti5VG+ uses the MVP3 and not the VP3 chipset so I would guess he is using 100 MHz FSB. i always say go with geforce2mx. they are cheap, with t&l support, and decent power consumption. yeah they may be a bit overkill, but t&l does help your games run a bit faster than older ones.

hello i am also interested in dx4-100 performance comparision between amd enhanced486(16k wb), amd 8kb wt and intel 16k wb, as 3x clock ones are more dependent on caches than 2x ones. i doubt if amd had any 16k wt 486s, i think they had only 8kb wt, 8kb wb and 16k wb.

the newer the better in general, except for the pentium4s which were a huge step backwards. in the 90's, i would say that pentium3 with coppermine core is the best.

both shall have no compatibility problems for win98 and dos games, i would go with ymf724 cause sb16 has worse sound quality with lots of noises. ymf724 also has superior hardware mixing support in windows aswell.
