oh god, i wished that they would at least run at 83*1.5=125. 😢 and they are rated at 3.5volts, which is the maximum for most boards already, so how can there be any possibility of overvoltaging?

we know that k5's clock didn't scale well and were released at 133mhz(pr200) most, which are quite rare and difficult to obtain. can anyone tell me whether the 117mhz(pr166) can run stable at 133, and up to 150?

I tried with a game called breakneck (n.i.c.e 2) wich has an in-game benchmark. a k6-2 @3x 100 with a voodoo3 did 24fps where a p2 @ 300mhz and a slow 66mhz fsb did a whopping 38fps!!! @ 450mhz and 100fsb the pentium did 55,5fps where my k6-3+@600mhz did only 43,7fps....... in my quake3 test(which …

your performance looks ok. even k6-2 is pretty slow, and the k6's lacking of 3dnow instructions does make some difference. pure fpu performance: p55c>p54c>>k6>k6-2>>winchip2>winchip real game performance: k6-2>winchip2>p55c>k6>winchip>p54c

i had one mt32(old) but i rarely use it. its not really GM compatible so it doesn't play midi files right, all that can work with it are dos games, and i have only one motherboard(bx) with isa slot that allows dos games to run with sound.

thats very impressive! getting 11200pts on a p3s... i thought it would be around 10000 at best since cpu is the obvious bottleneck. i could only get 9300pts with p3s-1.4, 815et board and ti4600, even with the classic 30.82 driver. with newer drivers it degrades to 8900, and then 8600.

on a p3s-1.4g, the g400max can match or edge out tnt2ultra on some well-optimized games like quake engines. but when it comes to 3dmark its still no match. my guess is that matrox could only optimize their drivers for certain games.
