I think what your running into is that Cat 6.2 was meant for x800 series or x850 series using the native AGP gpu, but the x850 XT AGP card is using the PCIe to AGP bridge chip, R420 is native AGP aka x800XT, but R480 is PCIe native, and with the bridge chip is called R481.
