You should do some recordings! This is especially interesting because Roland has a product to turn a V-Synth or VariOS into a D-50 (Link: http://www.roland.com/products/en/VC-1/) I am hoping that Roland will, one day, sell a decent MT-32 emulator as the real hardware will simply die one day...

Flashed the bios and the Celeron was suddently a 900 MHz model. Intel cpu utility from UBCD confirmed that... Ok tried the DVD s I burnt (memtest, UBCD, Free Dos) but doesn't like it. I take it these machines have issues with DVDs. Burnt memtest on CD and it worked right away. 110 is still kinda a lot of money, especially for something outside ebay. I guess it's a fair price, but it surely isn't a bargain... Have you looked for the Roland SC-55ST? This is a version of the SC-55 MK II but without display (low cost version)... I would definitely try to get a better price. …

Depends what you mean by 'work.' It's highly unlikely that those boards support booting from USB, so you're not going to be able to install an OS by that method, but once the OS and appropriate USB drivers have been loaded, you should be able to use 'em. It's to do with rounding... The 667 cpu is actually clocked at 666.666666666666 MHz so they just round it up 😁
