It's to do with rounding... The 667 cpu is actually clocked at 666.666666666666 MHz so they just round it up 😁

Well AMD has bought ATI ages ago. But they kept the ATI brand name alive... So nothing much should change. They will just be called AMD Radeon...

Just to be 100% sure, you might want to upgrade the BIOS again and see if the issue returns? Maybe it was some setting that got changed that actually solved the issue. Any chance that bios came with a changelog giving you a hint as what might cause the lockups?

Man I had TEAC CD drives back in the day! You might already know this, but TEAC had DOS level drivers that allowed you to set the speed of the drive. This even worked for 8x and 12x drives AFAIK. Isn't the SCC-1 also a midi port? Meaning you could use it as a very "feature rich" MPU401 card... EDIT: That CM-500 we talked about earlier, went for US$ 400...

External SC-55 and SC-55 MK 2 are much much easier to find... You only need 1 midi card I believe, as you can use the "midi through" port
