Looks nice, though I'd agree that the changed aspect ratio is a problem. I presume you'll provide this back to the project since... "opengl renderer, empty-frame-free animation system" ...remains on their todo list, though I'm unclear of what the second part of that refers to.

I'm not clear on what the "Windows Converter" or "Windows mode" is, but Railroad Tycoon is a DOS game so no it won't run on Windows 7. I'd guess it won't run on anything since perhaps Windows 2000/98. You should be able to install it using DOSBox though. I'd guess from your comment on the …

On a personal note, I think I prefer the GM music over the GUS (such typically sounds better, presuming you've loaded an appropriate SoundFont and etc.).

Um, only if you are transitioning between an image and a blank screen. The gaps are normally filled in with the lines displayed from the prior refresh, just one frame behind.
