Re: DOSBox Feature Request Thread

Any chance we could emulate Cybershades 3d or other 3d glasses? Refer... http://retrowaretv.com/lazy-game-reviews-cybe … des-3d-glasses/ I think support on many current 3d outputs would just require outputting every other frame side by side (hrm, perhaps a shader could even do this).

Re: Running 3dMark 2000 on modern hardware

Was able to get 3dMark 99 Max running via the instructions here... http://community.futuremark.com/forum/showthread.php?118638-Run-3DMark99Max&s=79b6969677c8c63034697dfee129930a&p=1281703&viewfull=1#post1281703 ...though 7zip will now also extract the installer exe. Still hoping for a fix for …

Running 3dMark 2000 on modern hardware

in Windows
The "3DMark01 Mega Thread" got me thinking about the old 3DMark benchmarks again. Have been trying to get 3dMark2000 going on my nVidia GeForce 580, but am currently unable to. It starts up, initializes the display, but then drops out with an error... "3dMark requires a 3D-accelerator with 4MB or …

Re: Electronic Popple CD

I've had this same issue as well, but with the installer. The DOS install, similar to the issue with the game listed by Joeyxp2, just goes to a black screen. I ended up having to find a rip online to be able to play. The game itself, at least in the rip version I found, played fine.

Re: 11th Hour crashes on startup dosbox 0.74

Thanks for the info. Strangely it works amazingly well if I use DosBox and DosBoxer front end (Under MAC OSX). I can run it at 24bit full screen video. Sound is not choppy. I will try this patch on my normal dosbox version to see the differences. Thanks, Rob Ah, yeah, Mac OS X version of DOSBox may …

Re: 11th Hour crashes on startup dosbox 0.74

Yes, at least 16b color works fine for me, though I'm using the updated 2.42 beta version of 11th Hour... "This new beta player for The 11th Hour improves performance on lower-end machines. Because it is still beta, it is currently not supported by Virgin or Trilobyte; however, we have made this …

Re: Essential feature: Text Copy and Paste

Every "DOS box" that has been implemented since Windows 3.0 and OS/2 has had the ability to copy data out of the window (and also to scroll back). I use these features regularly. Not having them makes DOSBox difficult to use. Were the code not GPLed, I would go in and hack it myself, but as a …

Re: DOSBox Game Launcher (DOSBox Frontend)

Note 4: Some users have reported database-related issues, where it would seem that DBGL did not save new profiles. The most likely cause for this issue is that DBGL lacks the rights to save its database files. In that case, check if you're running DBGL from a folder below the "C:\Program Files" or …

Re: DOSBox Game Launcher (DOSBox Frontend)

Good point, Kolano. The solution to this issue is to not launch DBGL from the default "Program Files" or "Program Files (x86)" folders is correct. I might have to look into that sometime to make it more flexible, but without loosing the portability of course. You may also want to provide a note …

Re: DOSBox Game Launcher (DOSBox Frontend)

Hi all, * Fixed game 'prepare' to switch to the target drive correctly Ronald, Do you think that will fix an issue I've been seeing, where DBGL has trouble seeing files off of my network drive post boot-up? Currently, I seem to need to browse to the relevent location before things are seen. Likely …

Re: K6-2 Software coolers

in PC Emulation
Personally, I've always been of the opinion I want my CPU working. So constant 100% usage for Distributed.net's OGR project has been keeping mine busy for years (and helps save on heating bills in winter).

Re: Eye of the Storm - Screen Jumping

ripsaw8080, Can you be more specific regarding the Paradise SVGA mode? Using svga_paradise does correct the background flickering seen with svga_s3, but when I try to select the Paradise mode in the graphics setup menu I get an error... "Insufficient memory for selected mode" ...so I've been stuck …
