Re: Druid Daemons of the Mind in DOSBox

I have installed the game, using DOSBox 0.74 on my iMac. I mounted the .IMG file using this in the DOSBox config file: imgmount d /users/Cuttock/Library/MSDOSHD/CD/KA.img -t iso After the installation procedure, I chose SB Pro for both music and sound. Well, once I cd to the DRUID directory and type …

Re: Installation issue for 'Across The Rhine'

I had the same problem, but this thread is confusing. So I found the correct way to do this! 1. Mount the main CD in BOTH DOSBox and Mac or Windows. From here, all copying of files will be done in Mac or Windows, not DOSBox. 2. Create 2 folders in the following hierarchy: MPS/1944ATR 3. Copy ALL …

Re: bioforge

Ahh...a GUI guy  You are using Dosbox correct? You have to know MS DOS commands in order to play old DOS games that don't work on more recent operating sysems. As eL_Pushor, my close friend said, READ the posting guidlines. There are very nice tutorials on how to mount an EMULATED floppy, hard …

Re: bioforge

You don't need to install it, run the Bioforge.exe like so: Place the files into the emulated A:\ drive. Run from there, and REMOVE -floppy label from the Dosbox config if you have it on the Autoexec area. This is not to be played as a floppy game.

Iron Assault

I found a game that was zipped into 2 folders. One folder was labeled "IRON_CD". I placed this in the emulated CD "D" drive and added the following to the Autoexec line in Dosbox: mount d C:\Games\cd\ -t cdrom -label IRON_CD And the other folder was labeled "games", which had another folder in it …

Re: Gnome Alone input issues

I get past that area clicking on any combo of pots, it's controlling the little gnome that fails. Maybe that is part of the copy prtection, tease us with a taste of how the game looks and let the gnome die from attacks because you cannot control him. I also have looked for the manual and cannot find …

Gnome Alone input issues

This game is an obscure but charming little game, sort of a gardening action game. It is kinda creepy, but then again, all gnomes are creepy. As for the issue, I have tried every button on my computer, mouse and joypad, and I cannot seem to move this guy. Right clicking the mouse gets a menu screen …

Re: nfs problem

I solved the problem. In DosBox 0.65, I added this to the Autoexec area in DosBox conf. file: mount d C:\ZZZ\cd -t cdrom -aspi -usecd 0 Of course, substitute the "C:\ZZZ\cd" part with what directory you use for the emulated CD drive. I placed the files in the NFS in the emulated C:\ drive into a …

Abandoned Places - Not working yet

Well hell, it's a new release! And yet Abandoned Places still won't run. That aches, truly. Once I finish electing my team of adventurers, I click on the hard to see button on the lower right, and the game hangs. There is a setup program, but once setting it up, I do not see a .ini or .cgf file …
