Re: Munt Reloaded - Development

Ugh, I'm struggling with reverb now, and it appears to be tricky... But I still modestly have a hope I can handle it. 😀 A bit weird to me that there are only two of us (though, KG is really short in time recently) caring about the actual munt code. 😒

Re: Munt Reloaded - Development

@Mau1wurf1977: Hmm, if I preferred to keep those builds safe, I'd never put them to a shared place like GitHub. :) However, as you can see they are just for development / testing and still lack some functionality for production use. I told you I felt that direct advertising of munt wasn't polite to …

Re: Munt Reloaded - Development

Yep, this is a shame that we have not made a single release for almost two years (though, IIRC, rumors were about doing this in May 2011). And I think that is certainly a miss that there is no support for munt in the official DOSBox. 🙁

Re: Munt not show in midi list - help

in MT-32 General
You're right. My builds all require SSE2, except the qt-app itself. BTW, are you sure your Athlon XP has enough processing power? I tried it without SSE2 on Celeron 1056 MHz (overclocked 800 MHz) - too slow for most of tunes. But this can be exactly the cause why your media center doesn't like munt. …

Re: Munt not show in midi list - help

in MT-32 General
Hi! Thanks for reporting the issue. Honestly, drvsetup uses rather a hack to register the driver in Windows Multimedia list (introduced solely for supporting x64 Windows), and I'm not really surprised that it doesn't work in media center. I'm not very familiar with media center internals, so I …

Re: Munt Reloaded - Development

The synth searches for ROM files using SynthProperties.baseDir, but in that DOSBox patch it is set to NULL and the current directory is used. It's quite alright for win* since you just place ROMs into DOSBox's dir. But it's really awkward in *nix envs. But really, why don't create a specific topic …

Re: Munt Reloaded - Development

dosbox doesn't compile with ubuntu's sdl Sounds weird for me too :/ The only problem with building DOSBox on Ubuntu I've ever experienced was adding "#include " row. Though, I don't think having a dl'ed munt version would bring some advantages. I see no problems with configuration of a MIDI port …

Re: Munt Reloaded - Development

If so, you definitely messed up with ROMs for the driver. It really detects whether the qt-app is running and sends MIDI messages to the app for processing. If there is no qt-app running, it handles MIDI messages itself (and uses your misconfigured / absent mt32emu.ini). BTW, the default setting for …

Re: Munt Reloaded - Development

"Can't open Synth" means the driver can't get the synth opened. Most common reason for this is the synth has no access to ROM files. I'd double check the PathToROMFiles variable in C:\windows\mt32emu.ini Also note, that currently it's quite a mess with these configuration options, specifically, the …

Re: Munt Reloaded - Development

It's quite a hard to realize what you are actually doing wrong. But there are two things to consider: - the mt32emu-qt console allows to see some useful info, should help in troubleshooting - .inf installer method doesn't work for 64-bit Windows at all, regardless of driver signing; drvsetup.exe …

Re: Munt Reloaded - Development

How often are changes made in the -qt branch moved into the master branch (where applicable)? Generally, I assume (and KG agrees) mt32emu_qt is our "head" branch. Well, if I am sure about the change, and I have it reviewed with KG, I try to merge immediately. This particular one, however, is not …
