2 MB SIMM30s do exist for the PC as well, although they are extremely rare. I have a set of 4 for a future 386 build. Never came across any other, though. Seems it was quite expensive as well, around 100 USD in 1995 EDIT: wrong link removed (thanks tayyare)

There were no standards for these LED speed displays for generic pc cases, not to mention brand stuff. Well I suggest adding the rest of the Opti chipset stuff as well - that is the good thing on that Mexican site, they also have 924, 933 etc drivers so adding all these small drivers to ONE "joker" OPTi package makes more sense less clutter on the list and not much overload on the server either (if …

What you can reserve as EMS in BIOS can and must be driven by a proprietary chipset driver. Without a driver it is just wasted from your precious 4 mb. Emm386 simulates EMS a different way, it cannot deal with this type of EMS. If EMM386 works, leave the BIOS setting at 0 (zero) kb.

Also I was trying to llay the game "Stunts" on my DOS/WIN 3.1 Packard bell Legend 386X. You may be running low on Conventional RAM. EMS can be provided by EMM386. Also check for installation/missing file errors...

I uploaded all Aztech ISA Sound Galaxy drivers from their old ftp. Repacked everything to straight ZIP to avoid issues with 16bit stubs in antique installers. I know some drivers are already present on Vogonsdrivers, yet, please allow me some replication in this bundle.

64kb UMA is usually no problem for himem.sys on most systems.. UMBs are much more problematic... It all depends on the chipset. You need either a manufacturer driver or 3rd party manager that supports the chipset. Himem Sys cannot make umbs.

What about something like EZ-BIOS? Dynamic Drive Overlays were already brought up in this thread (see Caluser2000's posts). EZ-BIOS is a DDO as well - in fact, this techonology was licensed by Maxtor (among others) so it is part of Maxblast 3, available at vogonsdrivers :) One complaint about DDOs …

I am pretty sure that even v2.01 would work fine... The small version jump is a good indicator of a correction of minor issues.

Unfortunately, RG100 is not an active member for quite a while. It might be too much to ask him to dump the BIOS if he has already been cured from the retro fever. Given 2 weeks, I can make a dump of the v2.02 BIOS in my EPROM burner. Maybe someone can do that sooner.
