Just buy an Eprom programmer on Ebay.. Those things arent expensive these days.. Then try to write an new bios on the Cmos chip.

Is it possible to replace the nec v20 processor with an nec v30 processor? Or do i need a special motherboard for this that accepts V30 processor?

Ok so the device that is in between the controller and the last drive dont have be terminated? So the intention is to make an closed chain?? So if the hard drive is already been terminated the best spot to place it is on the last connector of the cable? If not then i need to pace that recommend …

I want to let you know that this motherboard has working... I bought an vga card for it and an XT keyboard.. Yesterday i have played some old games on it. But missing an harddisk is very horrible to me.. Does anyone has STJUKO BIOS V2.30 for me?? I want to try it out on my motherboard.

This is that controller card: At the right you see the normal diskcontroller chip.. Above the 8 isa connector you see the bios chip.. It is been taped so it cant come in contact with UV light.. The eeprom says: PGM 12.5V

Yeah i know. But want the hardware option only.. I need to look at the bios of that kouwell controller. Is it possible to dump the bios image? (in software modus) from that controller card? Otherwise i need to go for an eeprom programmer.

There was no MS-DOS 3.31; that was a Compaq only version. Microsoft went from 3.3 to 4. I'd suggest you avoid MS-DOS 4 though as it had some data corruption bugs (supposedly fixed in 4.01 but I stil ldon't know if I'd trust it) MS-DOS 3.3 supports 1.4MB disks so unless you actually have a 720kb …

I think its 72-pins memory to. When you have an latest 486 system they are mostly 72-pins from the beginning. Pentium system will mostly use 72-pins memory and sometimes using SD_RAM to. like PC 66 / PC-100
