Re: Windows 98se reboots on shutdown

Easier said than done, I have a different floppy drive which I could use, but it seems the PC box is made in such a way I cannot put any other drive. I didn't need it so far anyway since USB sticks were pretty good to work with W98se too. EDIT: Oh I forgot to say the COMPEX RL2000 Ethernet Adapter …

Re: Windows 98se reboots on shutdown

Sorry for the lack of warning, but it has been over fifteen years since i saw this in action for the very first time, and I had forgotten how startling it may appear. Everything has reinstalled by itself so no worries, everything works now. Just not shutdown. If after disabling ACPI my OS still …

Re: Windows 98se reboots on shutdown

^ I have disabled ACPI with this registry and now my PC sees a lot of unknown hardware and it doesn't see CD drive. Also it cannot reboot now at all. EDIT: Okay, rebooted again and it works fine, but shutdown reboots anyway. EDIT2: If I wanted to reinstall Windows 98se - is there any pack of updates …

Re: Titanic - An Adventure in Time

Actually Titanic runs just fine even on Windows 10. I have it on my PC(Windows 10 64-bit) and it works flawless. You can use a no-cd patch for better performance and you're good to go. Saving works too. The game is fully playable and can be completed. If you have a 64-bit system you have to install …

Re: Unified for TNT2 M64?

No, you don't understand me. I said D3D version of Unreal breaks my PC, while TR Chronicles(also D3D) doesn't. I don't know why. Actually now I see Unreal GOLD breaks my PC no matter what settings I use.

Windows 98se reboots on shutdown

Hello. Generally some time years ago I have managed to find my super old PC and decided to make it work again, with Windows 98se, so one could play old DOS/Windows games on it. Everything works pretty okay except for one, but extremely irritating thing - the PC doesn't know how to shutdown properly. …

Re: Unified for TNT2 M64?

in Windows
So there's noone who tried using it or it's simply not worth it? I have managed to run wiz demo that apparently uses a Windows version of 3dfx and it seems to work okay. Graphics is crisp and neat there. On the other hand though when I try to play Unreal Gold it shows artifacts. Curiously enough …

Re: Unified for TNT2 M64?

I don't see much point in Unified...it's just another Glide wrapper (I don't even remember if there was anything special about it, so there probably wasn't). You're probably better off with nGlide and I'd bet it also has higher compatibility. I would rather like to use something that's more …

Re: Unified for TNT2 M64?

Davros - yeah, that's the site I got unified120 from. So you say I should install original drivers for m64 and then install unified? I can do that, though I cannot find proper drivers from that era. Lately overly slow google doesn't seem to help much. I found THESE drivers. Do you think they are ok …

Re: Unified for TNT2 M64?

in Windows
Oh I'm so sorry, I forgot to answer to that topic and it wasn't until just now when I checked this thread to continue my problem. I wonder if I should make a new thread, because this one is quite old already, but I can't find anything about it in FAQ. Anyway, I've installed unified120, but when …

Re: Unified for TNT2 M64?

in Windows
Ahh thank you so much. 😁 I'll download it and say later if it works for me. I'll just ask one, probably stupid question, just to be sure. These should obviously be installed instead of any other graphics drivers, like for example nvidia's original ones, yes?

Unified for TNT2 M64?

in Windows
I've found my very old PC, took it out from the attic and successfully made it run. To my surprise I found out it has an old Nvidia Riva TNT2 M64 graphics card, so I tried to look up for it's drivers. I've heard it's different version, 3D Blaster TNT2 Ultra, had drivers with software which could run …
