Re: Patch 3DFX for Destruction Derby 2

in Windows
I launch the game by the HiRes.exe but the game lag and it is very pixelized. I have no memory that this game was also ugly when I played it the time. at the time in 1995-2000 I played with a Cyrix 166+ 32Mo a Matrox Mystique and a 3DFX Voodoo 1 4Mo. and destruction derby seemed to me so beautiful …

Re: PCMCIA Sound Cards

Some in-game recordings done with the Panasonic CF-VEW211 and 212 unique "use system speaker" feature, the laptop used is an AST 700N with only a very basic speaker (no integrated soundcard): http://dl.free.fr/fbJAGIlna Other recordings are to be found in swaaye's "Sound Cards Recordings" thread.

Re: PCMCIA Sound Cards

It really depends of what I use it for: -best midi quality in DOS games, the SCP-55 -best OPL3 quality in DOS games, one of the Panasonic -if the game supports it, the Wavjammer -for full (FM and digital audio) Sb/Sbpro emulation in some DOS games, the IBM 3D -for full Sb/Sbpro emulation under Win9x …

PCMCIA Sound Cards

Hello, I found a lot of sound cards related threads on this forum, but not much about the Pcmcia sound cards except for a few post about the Roland SCP-55. I own more than 10 different models, most of them work in pure DOS and only one of them work in anything newer than Windows 9x: -Roland SCP-55 …

Re: BeOS

If we're speaking of a BeBox, the list of commercial games is quite shorter than the one I posted above (there's Doom), but you can run MacOS 7.5.2 to 8.6 using SheepShaver and MacOS games from the era at native speed, that should entertain you for some time.

Re: BeOS

There a few commmercial games and official ports: Corum III Hopkins FBI Civilization Call To Power Doom Quake Quake2 Abuse. A Quake3 port exists, it works best with a Voodoo3 card and the leaked Voodoo3/OpenGL driver. This driver can be used to play Quake2 in HW-accelerated OpenGL as well. A leaked …
