The floppy drive for your Toshiba model is the ZA1215P02, they're not completely impossible to find, but not always working anymore either or not sold with the cable. In the Bios, is the PC Card Controller Mode sets to Cardbus/16bit or PCIC compatible? That could be a cause of problems with your …

The Wami Box is not just a breakout box, it contains the DSP and most of the electronics, the card is just the interface for it, you need it and the cable to use it.

I recognized the symptoms as my 486 has one of those Dallas RTC with a dead battery too, the drivparm command works around that particular issue, it should work for you.

Is your CMOS battery working? No error messages at boot? Try adding the following line in your config.sys: DRIVPARM=/D:0 /F:7

Using a cheap external Midi device such as a Yamaha MU5 connected to your laptop serial port and its Midi Out to your standalone module would work and still be pretty much portable as it can be powered with AA batteries... Docking bays often have the DB15 joystick/Midi port on them, look into those. …

Cardbus slots are backwards compatible with legacy PCMCIA cards, if the card fits, it should work.

That one looks cool, it has a Pentium 150MHz from what I found, SB16 compatible soundchip, it would make for a good DOS or Win98 machine. I don't recognize the keyboard layout...

There's the 1989 demo disk that exists as a 360k floppy image, the V4 1.44MB network and modem demo disks and an earlier v1 demo that only needs 6MB of RAM instead of the 8MB needed by the latest v4 demos. The christmas edition is nowhere to be found though, been searching for it for a long time but …
