Hi, and welcome to the forums. Your card doesn't support DMA emulation under DOS nor Win9x so you won't get digital audio in DOS games, sorry, there's no way around that issue...only a few cards provide DMA emulation under Win9x, and even less do it under DOS.

A pcmcia compact flash adapter should work directly under windows 9x. Under DOS, you'll need the enabler from a link I posted in this thread: Looking for DOS drivers for PCMCIA CF card.

Another option would be ISA PCMCIA interface card, it's faster but you would need to buy a CD drive as well, and the memory requirements are often larger... I guess it depends how much money you're willing to pay for the LPT card in total, as always...

LPT CD-ROM will be relatively slow BTW. Ironically LPT CD-ROMs are usually SCSI CD-ROMs with a LPT interface. Backpack is a known brand for these devices. The GameJammer isn't very good from what I read elsewhere, and isn't supported in games except for the FM part, contrary to the Wavjammer. All the cards here are 16bit, not Cardbus. Kahenraz, you also have the CF-VEW211 I owned iirc. keenmaster486, I sent you a PM.
