Re: Using floppy images in DOSBox?

Thank you. I'll look at it later. BTW, I'm not ready to install WinMount. Can I get a real NTFS-formatted floppy on WinXP/Vista? I formatted a few disks and the option wasn't there. Besides that, NTFS compression is poor, and I want a better way to compress files.

Do the DOS ramdisk utils not work? Most DOS ramdisks load from config.sys, and those that don't may interfere with DOSBox's drive mounting approach. I will try XMSDSK now and get back to you. I for one cannot see any point to a RAM drive in DOSBox A RAMdisk shouldn't improve speed much in this case …

Keyboard issue/idea

I'd like to use DOSBox for things other than games (software development, graphic demos) and am wondering about using key combinations normally trapped by the emulator. Maybe something like F12, then keystroke sends keystroke to the program.

NTFS compression can be used to compress folders and files, but I find other techniques beter. That's why I tried to use WinMount. As for calling it a bug, I still call it a bug and would at least like DOSBox to support compression. BTW: how do I use DOS disk images?
